to the desk. >>> san francisco international airport is gearing up for what could be the busiest day holiday travel day of the season. allie rasmus is live there at the airport with information on how many passengers could pass the airport today. >> reporter: it's supposed to be one of the busiest travel days of the year for san francisco international airport with 130,000 passengers making their way in and out of the terminals here in a single day. even at 4:30 in the morning you can see there is more foot traffic. there is more activity than we expect to see here on a friday morning. you can see a number of cars and passengers unloading their stuff out of the taxis. making their way into terminal two. inside we just checked the board, we're happy to report there are no delays or canceled flights out of sfo. in fact, we saw one flight was leaving ten minutes early. that was heading to washington. that could all change as the day goes on because of the weather. rain is supposed to move in through the bay area later this morning. that usually creates delays at sfo. again it's not raining. the

's go back to dave and pam. >>> we are tracking a san francisco police investigation which is happening right now. a woman gave birth on the street just hours ago and then she was begging for help. claudine wong is there and just spoke to a man who called police for help. what is going on claudine? >> reporter: let me show you where we are. this building behind me is a church that runs a shelter which is open 24 hours but they don't take walk ins so when a woman showed up bleeding and asking for help, the man was not sure what to do. he didn't want to go on camera but he did take us through what happened. >> she was crying, just looked like she was just beaten up, covered in blood. she said she just had a bibi, -- baby, i didn't see a baby in her hand. she just started walking off and that's when i called police. >> the woman did walk off and he saw her again and he saw a woman with something in her arms also trying to get help. >> he was trying to get help with oncoming cars and that's when police had arrived. >> now we do not know the condition of the baby or the mother and we do know

. and police are investigating after woman gave birth on a san francisco street and she was out begging for help. here is the latest on that woman and where was she going when she was trying to get help, claudine? >> reporter: we are still trying to get information on the woman and the condition of her baby and we are told supervisor will be willing to talk with us shortly so we are standing by for that. i want to show you video of the scene because this is where it all happened. we shot this video earlier this morning and what you are looking at is a 24 hour shelter. they don't have walk inns but the woman went up to the gate of that shelter bleeding and asking for help. a man who works there didn't want to go on camera but took us through what happened. >> she was crying, just looked like she was just beaten up covered in blood. she said she just had a baby and i didn't see a baby in her hand. i go for help and come back and she is walking off and that's when i called the police. >> reporter: he said he was not sure what to do and he went to go ask a co-worker what to do next and she

. according to the san francisco chronicle the company suspects some workers lied about completing the inspections. eight employees have been fired or suspended. pg&e has hired 48 additional inspectors and they hope to have all the equipment checked by the end of the year. most of it is in southern alameda county and the south bay. >>> vallejo police are warning of a scam of a popular holiday gift. fake ipad sold on the street. tara moriarty joins us live. >> reporter: police say they found a stash of fake ipad boxes inside of a car. and they don't know exactly how much the person was intending to sell them for but they believe it was cheaper than what ipads normally go for which is between $300 and $800. inside of those boxes there was a replica ipad that was made out of a picture frame. it was wrapped with duct tape to mimic the back of similar ipad models. and to throw them off more it was wrapped in bubble wrap to hide its true feature. it's unknown where they were going to be sold. we are not sure if this was part of a larger ring. so just remember to open up every product and

the morning commute is looking good in san francisco off to a nice start approaching the downtown area. it's 5:00 let's go back to dave and pam. >>> at 5:00 we have breaking news coming in from campbell. firefighters just found a body as they rushed to an apartment house fire. janine de la vega is there. she's been there since 4:30 this morning. what is the very latest? >> reporter: the coroner is still here actually in the back of the apartment complex here on kiness drive. fire investigate evers are here on the scene trying to figure out how this fire started and who was the person who died here. at around 1:15 this morning residents at this apartment complex called 911 because they saw smoke coming from the carport at the complex. when they arrived firefighters discovered a storage unit under the carport was on fire. they distinguished it and opened up and found a body. police spoke to the owner of that storage unit and here's what the sergeant had to say. >> we have talked to the person who's belongings are in the storage unit. they are unaware of anything suspicious. they are unaware of a

. >> thousands of people started lining up yesterday in the cold, in san francisco, just to get a free holiday meal this morning. brian flores is outside glide memorial church. you've been out there since this morning. what's going on? >> reporter: a sea of people, at least a block long. thousands of people in line. some have been here as early as yesterday afternoon to get a free meal. every year, grace memorial church does this children where any give a bag of groceries for those who need it. this year, the church expects to give 5,500 bags of groceries. people have been in line hoping to get chicken, turkey, potatoes, pasta, beans and i many of -- and these items many of us take advantage of every day. many of these people with homeless. >> we see a lot of growing seniors accessing our services. it's doubling and tripling compared to years in the past. if you look at the demographics, the senior population is growing because the baby boomers are getting older and more people are getting on social security and disability as they reach the older years and they are really tight on money. >> re

the bay bridge and toll plaza and that traffic is moving along nicely on into san francisco with no major problems. we also have a look at 280 and san jose and 101 and 285 are off to a great start and hopefully it will stay this way but as more people get on the road, you know how it goes, we will have some more troubled spots. here is weather, steve? >>> clouds increasing later on and low clouds mainly out to the valley but the coastal fog is also coming back. we will get some clouds and an overnight brief rain. this is a really thin system but it is going to turn much colder. overnight lows will be if i having more rain and cooler weather is definitely in the mix. our system is here and by the time it arrives it will not do much but this is not a rainy pattern and the snow will be more of a powdery type by the time it gets here. 50s for many and 60s with a brief rain and much colder. 36 in napa, 39 in santa rosa and petaluma and santa rosa is reporting fog so be careful. get used to these readings low clouds, fog, chilly lows or cold lows. mid-50s and very low 60s. >> brief morning rain
